Stable or Palace

Christ was born not into a nice warm palace with all the luxury that comes with it. No he was born in a stable, a stable which was open to all to walk in and out as they pleased, Christ was very vulnerable. Are our churches palces a place for the selct few, or a stable where all are free to come and go as they please

Voltaire once said "God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh." its got me thinking how some times we over analyze things, how we over complicate who God is and what he has, is, and will be doing with us.
